TUESDAY MARCH 13

BUILDINGS AND BRIDGES : 10am - 12pm  and/or 1pm - 3pm

Exploring buildings and cities through mixed media on paper.

Resources for inspiration provided, but freedom encouraged.

Create together or let them create on their own.

All ages welcome.

Paint, supplies and unlimited paper provided - $15 per child / each 2 hr. session

Wear clothes that can get a bit messy.

REWARD

for the return of our beloved 
SUCKER FISH

Sometime between December 28th

and January 2nd.

Our extra large sucker fish went missing from the fish tank.

This fish is too too big to fit in the filter,

did not jump out and hide in the toys, does not fit under a rock,

and is way too big to be dinner for the little fish.

We have searched through the plants, rocks, and under the filter

and he is nowhere to be found!

It is not like him to run away and his disappearance

is completely puzzling us.

Any information leading to the whereabouts

of this fish will be rewarded.

Estevan is 10 !!!

For his birthday this weekend he wanted a Goorin fedora from Beansprouts, but they are too small ! 
So i had to go to the Goorin Hat store in Yaletown, to get him an adult size hat.
Yes, my baby, who started the store with me when he was just a year old, is now growing out of his own store.
Now, instead of entertaining himself by sweeping, napping in the back, and playing in the window display : he is playing on the computer, and helping customers while I get a tea. He is just as helpful as always. Above is a picture from his Breakdance Birthday Bash ! What a night ! Happy birthday estevan ! Xo mom

A big box of appaman boys clothes arrived today, ah the joy of retail, always jumping ahead. I try to live in the moment, but it is hard when you have a store. Right now I am loving flip flops at night time, sun kissed skin, watermelon for breakfast lunch and dinner, sipping drinks on the patio, reading books in the park, bbq's, watching the boys eat freezies on the porch, swimming outdoors, hanging laundry outside, big boxes of blueberries . . .

Five Little Bunnies

I came to work today to find a little present on my counter.

Five little bunnies just hatched from local artisan 

Owl & Pussycat. 

Already known and loved at Beansprouts for her:

tooth shaped pillows

hand made wool stockings

play aprons

pencil holder rolls

These little bunnies are handmade using recycled wool sweaters, natural wool stuffing and some loving stitches. They are cuddly and ready for some loving.

Easter is on it's way.
