aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... yes, I know it is about time I posted a picture.
Everybody, meet Maddex, the newest addition to Sarah,Rustyn and Koby's family.

Born Saturday, March 27, 2010

Estevan,Koby and I rushed to the hospital and met him at just an hour old.
The boys were rubbing his cheeks, his head, his chin - they couldn't get enough of him.
It was so so special

This is the face , a slightly wrinkled brow and a little suspicious that he always gives me.
But he is a cuddly, lovable, mellow spirited baby, with the best wardrobe :)
and we all fight over who gets to hold him when he comes to visit Beansprouts.

Perhaps you will run into them here during an afternoon visit.

the answer is . . .

. . . No, not yet.
Everyone has been asking the past few weeks,
"Has the girl with the blonde hair . . .?"
"Has the girl who works here that is pregnant ...?"
" Has Sarah had her baby yet?"

So the official update is, you will have to wait a little longer.
But not much, if Sarah has anything to say about it!

You know we will be posting cute photos as soon as we have them.
So be patient.

For now, we get to post this cute photo of Miss Sarah, all pregnant and glowing.

The colours of the Olympics

Despite the little bit of boo hoo in the CBC interview I gave last week
( always just trying to keep it real) - we got out and enjoyed the Olympics this weekend!
The spirit that all of the athletes and visitors have given our city is priceless.
It is nice to see a bit a patriotism in Canada and to see the streets of Vancouver hoppin'
Me and Estevan went to our very first HOCKEY GAME!
MAKE SOME NOISE - I think I might have been more excited than he was !!!
What we would really like to do is ride the zip cord over Robson square,
but five hours is just too long to wait.
All of the excitement will be winding down soon and I am a little torn about that.
But it will be nice to have our city back to a bit of normal.

Ah, how sweet is was to watch the 'store manager' Estevan
inventory our new Speckles and Weeds cards.
He had his own system going and
was so proud to put the display together himself.
But was even more excited to help customers at the counter;
entering items, running the credit machine and
even wrapping presents - ALL BY HIMSELF!
He has been doing things all by himself at Beansprouts now for
almost 7 years! Yes, time flies !
We spent the entire day off school together.
A very memorable day.

I lovely story:
Last month we at Beansprouts made a boo boo and
paid out consignment funds twice.
It was our mistake , but now the recipient of the funds
has chosen to donate this "extra" money towards mosquito nets for children in Haiti.
Not a mistake at all !

A dear friend introduced me to
these puppets years ago now and I can't believe
it has taken me this long to have them back in stock.
Every one of them is so special, as they are handmade

Wood is an ideal material for a baby's first sensory impressions,

we had a window of those diamond shaped wool and stick objects

that i remember making as a child - "ojo de dias"

even know what to call our little creations.
