Fall crafting

Mamas are getting crafty and creative this time of year, and we love it ! Right now we have some beautiful locally made items at beansprouts : shirts with silkscreened pockets, wool sweaters, lucious blankets, aprons, soaps, artwork, books and now ( shown above ) a lovable barley filled hand to comfort your child when you try to slip your hand away as they sleep. we will miss you

Today we got the news that our

neighbour at Luxmi's corner store

had passed away.

For the past nine years we have been borrowing tools

from each other, watching each other's shops, asking 

each other for change and well, being good neighbours.

When I think of him I will always remember his smile, his jokes 

and the tricks he would always play on us.

Estevan will miss his trips to get candies and freezies,

 ( maybe not how you would sneak up on him and make him jump. lol )

Kumar, I will always remember the advice you would give me

about family and how to raise a good boy.

Our days at Beansprouts will not be the same without you.

Rest in peace our friend.

PERFECT PINTEREST POST #3

I found this photo in pinterest.

10 years ago I found this same photo in a home renovation magazine

and decided that this would be the perfect way to decorate a

baby's room - boy or a girl.

I have to say it took a long long time to tape up the squares

and get them ready for painting. But once all the measuring was done,

and paint dried, the wall looked amazing ! 

What I did was make sure the white space was the same 

width as an Ikea floating shelf. What a perfect match.

So, don't be afraid, just make sure you have a really good

ruler, level and high quality painters tape.

It is perfect for me.

It is both visual and organized.

I now have collections of photos that

link to websites, forever saved into my

"things I would do if I had more time" file.

So I thought I should start to share them with someone.

Maybe one of you has time to create some of these amazing things.

REWARD

for the return of our beloved 
SUCKER FISH

Sometime between December 28th

and January 2nd.

Our extra large sucker fish went missing from the fish tank.

This fish is too too big to fit in the filter,

did not jump out and hide in the toys, does not fit under a rock,

and is way too big to be dinner for the little fish.

We have searched through the plants, rocks, and under the filter

and he is nowhere to be found!

It is not like him to run away and his disappearance

is completely puzzling us.

Any information leading to the whereabouts

of this fish will be rewarded.
